Beaufield to Begin Drilling at Urban
MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Jul 18, 2013) - Beaufield Resources Inc. ("Beaufield" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:BFD) Beaufield is pleased to announce a drill program planned to start at the end of the month on its 100% owned Urban Township gold property. Urban Township has been the focus of detailed gold exploration and mining over a number of years with exploration activity in the township accelerating. Beaufield has held the property since the mid 1980s. It covers a total area of 69.51 square kilometres (6,951 hectares).
Three targets are slated for drilling. The first being the Lac Kent area, which is on strike with Metanor's Barry gold deposit. In the late 1970s, several holes were drilled by other companies onto what is now Beaufield's property in which gold was encountered, including hole 7515-77-4 which was drilled by Shell Canada Resources in 1977 and intersected 439 g/t Au over 0.2 metres.
The second target will be the possible strike extension onto Beaufield's property of important gold intersections reported by BonTerra Resources Inc. from its East Extension property. Hole BA-12-10 which encountered 73 g/t Au over 3 metres is collared close to Beaufield's property. (Bonterra News release June 13th, 2012).
The third target will be Beaufield's Lac Rouleau gold deposit where previous drilling has defined a gold resource of interest. In this area, Falconbridge, the operator for Beaufield at that time, drilled a series of holes in 1987 and encountered gold in numerous drill holes. Table 1 below lists a few of these holes.
Hole Number | Best gold value |
Hole 87-18 | 4.80 g/t Au over 3.76 metres |
Hole 87-33 | 8.98 g/t Au over 4.36 metres |
Hole 87-51 | 7.64 g/t Au over 7.42 metres |
Hole 87-63 | 27.53 g/t Au over 3.05 metres |

It is anticipated a total of approximately 1,000 metres will be drilled in this program. An expanded program will be considered based on the results.
