Pershimco Appoints Serge Biron to Lead the Pershimco Exploration Team in Latin America
ROUYN-NORANDA, QUEBEC -- (Marketwire) -- 04/05/11 -- PERSHIMCO RESOURCES INC. (the 'Corporation' or 'Pershimco') (TSX VENTURE: PRO) (FRANKFURT: BIZ) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Serge Biron to the position of General Manager Latin America, based in Chitre, Panama. Mr Biron will principally lead Pershimco's exploration efforts in Panama on the Cerro Quema Gold-Copper Project.
Mr. Biron has over 40 years of mineral exploration experience in Canada and internationally in Africa and South America. His experience includes management of major exploration projects for several companies including Anglo American Corporation, Anglo Gold Corporation of South Africa and Barrick Gold, leading to numerous discovery including the 20 million ounces Kibali/Doko Gold Deposit in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He was until recently general manager for Barrick Gold Africa.
